Arena Roman Amphitheatre

Situated in Piazza Bra, the amphitheatre of Verona was built in the first half of the 1st century A.D. (between the end of Augustus‘ reign and the beginning of Claudius).

After the colisseum and the Capuan amphitheatre, the Arena is the third largest of its kind in Italy.

Its elliptical shape enhances the acoustic quality of the performances and also allows seating-space for thousand of spectators. Discover more about the Opera Festival!

Opening hours
: Tuesday-Sunday 8.30-19.30 - Monday 13.30-19.30 – Cash desk closing at 18.30; Warning! Reduced opening hours during the Opera Festival.

In June, July, August and September the Arena will be open also on Moday morning, from 8.30am to 7.3pm (last admission at 6.30pm). Reduced opening hours during the Opera Festival and for concerts (last admission 3.30pm, closure at 4.30pm).

Prices: Standard € 10.00 – Reduced € 7.50 (groups minimum 15 persons and students 14-30 years old) – € 1.00 (Schools and young people 8 - 13 years old ) - € 1.00 the 1° Sunday of the month for everyone (from January to May and from October to December) – Free entrance with the Verona Card.
