In 1336, the Bevilacqua family erected one of the territory's most significant castles.

The Della Scala (Lords of Verona) commissioned the Bevilacqua to build the castle for them and this structure has regained its former splendour thanks to careful restoration work carried out in the last 10 - 20 years.

You can now visit it throughout the year and in addition attend plays, concerts and picturesque pageants such as the Spring Medieval Festival and the medieval New Year Pageant.

The castle also features a restaurant and is an important conference centre, offering a wide range of modern facilities in a setting steeped in history.
